Position: Graphic Design Intern (Paid)

Hourly: $20/hour 

Location: Remote/Watertown, MA 

Commitment: 20-24 hours per week between 9am-5pm 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist in the development and execution of campaign assets and other design needs. 
  • Conduct visual research on social issues and trends to inform campaign planning. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution. 
  • Contribute creative ideas for campaigns that align with our clients’ values. 
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Familiarity with all forms of digital communication 
  • Current college attendee pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Health Marketing, Communications, or a related field. 
  • Strong passion for cause-related marketing and social impact. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for detail. 
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. 
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, familiarity with Animate, XD or others is beneficial but not required

A critical player in the agency wide campaign development process, the Project Manager is a detail oriented, highly organized, and fast-paced process expert who thrives on finding ways to say “Yes, we can!” This person is deeply familiar with traditional and evolving creative agency roles, interdepartmental team responsibilities, required documentation and how it all comes together to get great work done while always striving for ways to improve the process!

While being the ultimate team player—this person drives the project life cycle from project intake—to creative development—to production design and final campaign asset delivery. They will determine, track and report on key project components e.g. project kick-off key dependencies, external team resources, media asset requirements, milestone scheduling and project scoping to ensure all projects are delivered on time, on budget and within scope. The Project Manager will on occasion have client contact as it relates to budgets and timelines that occur at key milestones.  Additionally, the Project Manager will be working with the Project Management and Account Services team, to integrate and manage MORE’S internal processes with external production resources and workflows.

Knowledge of account management processes, creative production processes, marketing practices, as well as print production is a must. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign highly preferred. An understanding of creative project management software tools e.g., FunctionPoint, Slack, Basecamp, etc.

Project Management Team Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage Projects from account to creative hand-off, to project execution and media launch
  • Manage internal team stakeholders using a diplomatic approach to negotiation to create accurate milestones and timelines that work for all
  • Identify priorities and balance scope and needs as the project develops throughout the creative process
  • Use independent judgment and the ability to work in the gray to remove obstacles and maintain focus in challenging situations to deliver results
  • Lead discussions that are effective and efficient, making sure initiatives stay on track and are solution-oriented; Expert communication skills both orally and in writing with all levels (management and support staff)
  • Maintain a clear and reasonable vision of “next steps” and the “big picture” during meetings, conversations, or whenever the parameters of a project change
  • Forecast resources, proactively identify barriers, and provide recommendations to senior leaders for problem resolution
  • Review all work and creative output to ensure quality, consistency with project specifications and readiness to move on to the next step
  • Help obtain printing estimates, art buying, and communication with all outside vendors and freelancers

 

  • Assist with reviewing FP Task(s) for completeness (all files), adjust “Start” dates when assigned, “Close” task when completed, confirm specs
  • Help create and maintain library of approved vendors and media specs
  • Proofing of deliverables to confirm edits, translations, and other light design errors
  • Confirm final assets for size, file type and correct vendor upload requirements before assets go to vendors
  • Organize and run final project postmortems

 

Project-Based Responsibilities:

  • Communicate in a timely manner with account, creative and external production teams through SaaS workflow tools
  • Confirm all key dependencies to be provided by Account team are ready prior to kick-off meeting – departmental/task specific
  • Review tracked time on Tasks/Projects
  • Monitor timesheets for all for billable hours
  • Approve Task due dates with the Account Team to ensure adequate time is allotted.
  • Meet work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and
    customer-service standards, identifying work process improvements
  • Manage freelance/vendors as needed
  • Assist Account Manager’s in project budgeting and time estimation prior to client commitments

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a PM role in communications, marketing, advertising, and/or public relations, within an agency or design environment.
  • Demonstrated interest in social issues such as health, education, equity, and the missions of non-profits and/or corporate foundations and socially responsible companies
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills a must
  • Participation with/on non-profit boards, or volunteer experience a plus
  • Bilingual skills a plus
  • Must live in New England, with an opportunity for telecommuting

The Creative Director is the visionary behind our public health communications client’s creative campaigns. The creative director oversees our creative team of designers and collaborates with our account team members to develop the meaningful creative that changes people’s lives. This person must have a proven track record of strategy and concept development, and a strong sense of how concepts evolve into visual identities, digital media, print media, out-of-home advertising, and video. We are looking for someone who will be part of the leadership team at the agency and be vocal about ways to improve our creative output and internal processes. This dynamic leader should be able to motivate and excite the creative team as well as clients when presenting our work. This is an excellent opportunity for an Associate Creative Director looking to take their career to the next level and contribute to the growth and excellence of a niche full-service ad agency.


Job Description:

  • Collaborates on brand and creative strategies for government agencies, NGO’s, public awareness/education campaigns.
  • Collaborates on creative briefs with the Executive Creative as needed
  • Directs creative teams in concept development as per the creative brief
  • Collaborates with other senior leadership on new business development, campaign planning, and company processes
  • Support the management, mentorship, and cultivation of the entire creative team of graphic designers
  • Leads the ideation process and collaborates with the account team, media team, and client to ensure that creative strategy is carried throughout a project from concept to launch
  • Co-manages creative budgets and timelines, alongside the project manager and account managers
  • Pitches creative strategies and concepts to the client and is adept at understanding and engaging the client through the creative process
  • Seeks out new creative partners and production companies to enhance our service offerings

  • Experience managing other employees through motivation, mentorship, empathy, and diplomacy; and can hold their team accountable for great work and meeting deadlines and demands
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; excellent presentation skills are a must
  • Able to communicate clearly and enthusiastically with colleagues and clients
  • Has an entrepreneurial spirit who takes initiative and is not afraid to recommend improved practices and processes amongst their team and the agency as a whole
  • Bachelor’s degree required: Marketing, Advertising, Business, Communications, or Fine Arts, a plus
  • Preferably at least 5 years of agency experience in a Creative Director type role, with previous years’ experience in other agency roles such as copywriter, strategist, or art director
