Many parents of teenagers in Massachusetts are all too aware of the dangers of opioid misuse and abuse. They’ve seen constant, alarming news about overdose and deaths. They now ask: What can we do to prevent misuse and addiction before it’s too late? We need advice
A 2017 statewide, multi-touch campaign produced by MORE, Stop Addiction Before it Starts, enlightened parents about the power of speaking with their kids about opioids. The campaign used paid advertising on broadcast TV, Facebook, and animated digital ads, as well as donated billboard space from the Department of Transportation. The campaign generated 34,618 ad clicks, 814,807 video views, 58,853 website pageviews, and high average session durations of 1:27 on the landing page.
